Despite going ahead and fast-forward, Toyota went back to 70 on its 30th anniversary of Land Cruiser.
The anniversary edition SUV launched in Japan only is slightly changed on bonnet, front grille and headlamps. Two variants of the model plate are made available: one is the standard 4-door van, the other is a double-cab pickup.
Officially launched in 1984, Land Cruiser is successfully sold in many parts of the world.
This 30th anniversary edition is going to be manufactured in Japan for a year, which means limited offer to continue for a while.
Under the hoods, Toyota SUV implies a 4.0L V6 petrol engine with aluminum block and VVT-i tech. Power generation is restricted to 228hp and 360 Nm of torque after mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and part-time all-wheel drive. The fuel-efficiency meter rates at 15.1 l/100 km. Despite being an old school template, the Land Cruiser anniversary edition is adorned with modern safety as well, like ABS and airbags.
