Toyota recently announced that their long-awaited hatchback, Etios Liva will be available in India from June 27 onwards. The company had earlier delayed the launch of the car from April, 2011 to June, 2011. The company decided to decrease the wait period for the car following the enthusiastic response garnered for it.
According to Toyota, with the introduction of the Etios Liva, they will make their entry into the popular luxury hatchback category in the Indian auto market. They said that the Etios Liva is designed for the youth of today. It will also be priced competitively, and offer value for money and functionality. With its target audience being the young population of India, the company has lined up a host of fun and youthful activities for their promotion campaign. One even includes a TVC that includes music composed by none other than A.R. Rahman.
The Etios Liva and Etios were first showcased as concept vehicles during the 2011 Auto Expo in Delhi.
The concept models managed generated a huge response and traveled across India along with the Toyota Q-World meeting above 1 lakh potential customers. The company’s DMD of marketing, Sandeep Singh said that they are quite happy announcing their foray into the luxury hatchback category with their new Toyota Etios Liva. It was received quite well by their customers across all markets. As of date they have managed to deliver above 20,000 models. They have also been successful in bringing down the wait period to less than a month by taking the necessary steps for increasing production. They are expecting a good response once the Etios Liva is available in market. More details will be given out during its official launch
