After revealing it last month at the Indian Auto Expo, Toyota Kirloskar Motors has now announced that the Toyota Yaris will be launched in India on April 24th 2018. We are expecting the car to be priced somewhere around the Rs.10 lakhs mark and bookings for this have already began at Toyota dealerships across the country.
The Yaris will come with the 1.5 L Dual VVT-i petrol engine giving a peak output of 105bhp and a peak torque of 140Nm. As of now Toyota doesn’t have any plans to offer an alternative diesel or hybrid model of the car. Features in the Yaris would include electrically adjustable driver’s seat, roof-mounted aircon vents for rear seat occupants, gesture control for the infotainment system, 7 airbags, front parking sensors, all wheel disc brakes and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
