Triumph has launched two bikes in India – the Street Twin and the Street Scrambler at Rs.7.45 lakhs and Rs.8.55 lakhs respectively. The new Street Scrambler receives minor cosmetic updates over the outgoing model.
The updates include a redesigned Street Scrambler logo on the sides and a new seat finish. On the mechanical side, the bike now gets a 900cc parallel twin engine with 65HP of peak power – 18 percent more than the previous model. Other updates include the addition of Brembo four-piston front-brake calipers that replace the two-piston Nissin unit and a higher-spec fork.
The Street Twin, on the other hand, gets an updated engine, a new chassis and riding modes. The engine is the same 900cc as the previous model, but now it has 3,800 rpm instead of 3,200 rpm. Peak output has also gone up by 18 percent to 65HP. The bike now features two new riding modes – Road, offroad and Rain. Offroad mode is the new addition.
