TVS Motors, on Wednesday launched its new flagship motorcycle – TVS Apache RR 310. The bike has been competitively priced at Rs.2.05 lakhs.
First showcased as the Akula 310 race bike concept at the 2016 Auto Expo, the TVS Apache RR 310 was one of the most awaited motorcycles in the Indian market. And the model which is going to hit the Indian roads now actually takes a lot from its concept model including the aerodynamic front fairing with a large windscreen. The fairing, however, gets some changes like addition of aggressive split headlamp with projector beams.
It shares the 312.2cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with the BMW G 310 R which is manufactured in India at TVS’ facility. The fuel injected motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox and churns out 34PS at 9,700rpm and a peak torque of 27.3Nm at 7,700rpm. It also shares alloy wheels with its BMW badged sibling, which come shod with wide tubeless tyres
