New Year resolution of Mahindra & Mahindra has got some interesting models on the list for 2015. It can be consolidated that automaker managed to get few new launches in the year 2014, except for new-gen Scorpio. So, ultimately there lays a fair chance to compensate them in the next year. And that’s what the further delay doesn’t seem to be executing here. Listed down is a list of models that would see daylight from Mahindra’s stable in the coming months. Excited a lot, we too, as Mahindra had always created its success on the numbers or volumes despite attacking lifestyle corner in its products with practicality to Indian driving conditions also seen on them simultaneously. Scroll down to know them in detail…
XUV 500 Facelift
The Cheetah theme had made XUV500 to sell in numbers, thanks to its ad campaign. Now, it’s time for the Cheetah to wear a new skin as the rivals are gearing for a strong battle so how this beast of the Mahindra stable could stay back. There is a possibility of the hybrid version of also joining the league along with petrol and diesel engine options.
Micro SUV S101
This is apparently the most aspirated model of the brand. With this attitude it will hunt down the hatchback segment for Mahindra, which it wasn’t able to do well wearing the SUV maker avatar of India. The launch was earlier meant to happen in 2016, but now the company had asked vendors to push hard and make it possible by the festive season of 2015, which seems quite unfeasible for now.
New Thar
That is left to the off-road junkies whether they needed more comfort and better aesthetics, or the similar design shall be retained with the bare basics fundamentals. Hence, it seemed the enthusiasts preferred the former option that’s why the company is claimed of using the Xylo platform for a new Thar, and obviously better interiors will be seen.
New Quanto
The Quanto is ultimately one of the not so happening models of Mahindra as it had to push quite hard to make registration on the monthly sales report. Another chance may change the fortunes and bring the attracting magnet to its way. The sub 4-metre segment is in the hype these days, so a facelift may work wonders and that’s the reason Mahindra is taking a shot at it.
Compact SUV S102
Compact SUV rivalry is gaping through the cut throat way with every passing month. On the one side, as Ford broke the ice with EcoSport since then the rest are walking an extra mile to mark a spot in that segment. Mahindra will not spare at any cost and S102 is the answer.
New Bolero
Bolero’s success is one such story that the world is needed to take inspirations from. A buy for almost every buyer down the line, it had marked the presence ranging from pickup trucks to a government employees’ official vehicle. New avatar was much needed as the present gen is slowly growing outdated. But that Mercedes-Benz G-Class platform must be retained, that’s what was making it to go miles uninterrupted with confidence and agility.
Mahindra Genio
There pickup truck business also needs to be strapped tightly once again. A facelift to Genio will seal that for years to come.
Other Utility Vehicles
In line to the SUVs, Mahindra is also focusing UVs where three models of Bolero and Genio in the sub 1.2-tonne segment are planned to make way towards the launch pad in 2015.
New Engine Family
It wasn’t all about the new SUVs making way out of the Mahindra factory. Instead, this India based automaker too had lined up several new engines and further engine options to engulf in the bays of those model refreshments as well as new ones. As per to a source, the drivetrains can now see a 1.2-litre petrol, 1.6-litre petrol and the similar cubic capacity of diesel. On the other side, 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre petrol are in the development alongside a 1.5-litre diesel.
Well, the road map of Mahindra is found interesting and engaged to track the route for maximum market shares, where the sub-4 metre is its ultimate target to hit the nail at.
