The year 2015 is bound to be strewn with launches from Maruti in numbers! As the automaker had seen huge competitive blow from the international carmakers like Honda, Hyundai and many others during the recent past, its mass selling cars to an extent also seemed in the battle of survival. Mentioned below are some of the expected launches which may take the sales up once again. Read on to find more…
Maruti S-Cross
The newly launched Ciaz seemed to have confided Maruti for getting buyers from above Rs 10 lakh repertoire. The crossover S-Cross is likely to take on that courtesy further. This car isn’t mentioned to be in the utility section of lineup, instead the company may position at premium notchesof segment for it to bring cash flow to the register at ease. A Fiat-sourced 1.6-litre diesel of 118bhp, daytime running LED lights, 16-inch alloy wheels can be expected to be there included in the package. Must mention, Suzuki’s “AllGrip” AWD system too shall see the daylight here in India with it.
Maruti Swift Dzire Facelift
Swift facelift had already reached showrooms, but the Dzire facelift isn’t. Expected to enter by early 2015, this compact sedan of Maruti is a heavyweight of the segment. New alloys, chrome finish and bumpers are in the list of expectations. Inside the cabin, there must be minimum number of changes will be seen.
Maruti Celerio Diesel
The Celerio is a game changer for many of segments in India. An automatic gearbox for a very reasonable price that everyone can afford raised the benchmark of carmakers. Now, the same model is also expected to bring another revolution by rolling a diesel variant soon in the coming year. The 0.8-litre two-cylinder in-house made engine pose a strong speculation for going underneath the hoods.
Maruti Ertiga Facelift
Ertiga is around the market for years, where a facelift will definitely push it further for getting over the competition from Honda Mobilio and Datsun GO+. Certainly there would be better styling cues and lots of minute nip and tucks which would be sketched over the practicality note. Tweaked headlights, chrome finish on bumpers and new front grille are on the side of speculations.
Maruti Ertiga AMT
The facelift wouldn’t be enough to take the market by a storm, so engineers must have been given the task of a AMT version to book a better space in the congesting market scenario. There could be only a one its kind model in the price range and segment.
Maruti Ciaz RS
The replacement of SX4 had tendered a bulk of buyers from new repertoire. To treatise them further, Ciaz RS is the one word to go for. Sporty styling, a special body kit and new paint shades are the notations penned down in expected stage. The upcoming Z+ variant shall be its base where bells and whistles like touchscreen and more would find its place in the package.
Unlike to the models being sold in European countries with addition of power on such special packages, in India there aren’t such examples expected to see coming out of the bay of carmakers, especially not from Maruti at least.
Maruti Wagon R AMT
Maruti’s value for money had garnered enough sales for the other siblings to land safely with AMT gearbox in market. And Wagon R is a stubborn example that had witnesses a lasting inning in the Indian fraternity. However, an AMT variant shall make way soon, because such expansion will keep the cash register ringing – like the way Alto K10 AMT and Celerio AMT are presently doing.
Speculations say the Wagon R ‘Stingray’ edition will be a one to see it coming being priced premium by Rs 30-35k.
Maruti YRA Premium Hatchback
It’s been already confined the Swift facelift didn’t had enough of latest appraisal to entice the afficando. And Maruti knows it very well. To answer that gravely, and expensively too, there is a new hatchback called YRA readying to be rolled out for catering the premium buyers of hatchback segment. It will offer those advancements which the Swift had missed over. Options of 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre petrol engine whereas a 1.3-litre diesel are bound to make their way under hoods. Europe had already seen in aplenty in its roomier and spacious form.
Maruti YBA Compact SUV
The compact SUV segment is still an alien to Maruti. But it isn’t going to remain that way further. A compact SUV codenamed ‘YBA’ is in the process and apparently would shed the cover at Delhi Auto Expo 2016. Some even reported a spare wheel may be seen hanged over the tail gate, whereas the length would be strictly under 4-metres to take over Ford EcoSport. Well, someone may say this segment had enough of it from the Ford and a rival would only be entertained unless and until it will make a better cosmetic appearance than the said, which Maruti doesn’t seems to be doing good at. And the unveiling by 2016 is still a far spot for the maker making a feasibility of a late entrant in the market.
