The Hyundai i20 is available in two petrol and a single engines:
- 1.2-litre, DOHC 16 valve, Kappa generating 79bhp@5200rpm.
- 1.4-litre, DOHC 16 valve giving power 99bhp.
- 1.4-litre, DOHC 16 valve CRDi Diesel engine generating 89bhp@4000rpm.
The vehicle adheres to Euro V norms of emission. The engine has been known to deliver the highest level of performance and at the same maintaining optimum fuel economy. The car has been made available in India with 7 petrol and 4 diesel models.
McPherson struts have been incorporated into the car’s suspension coupled with a stabilizer bar at the front along with torsion-beam axle having coil springs fitted at the rear. Shock absorbers fill with gas combine with the suspension system thereby making the i20 a car optimally suited to counter Indian driving conditions.
The power steering provided is driven by motor and makes city driving very effortless thereby adding overall to the car’s experience.
The car has an elegant and contemporary look. The grilles are slim and chrome finished and is flanked by huge air dams, exquisite headlamps, creases on the bonnet and a vertical tailgate.
