Seeing the title one maybe confused about finding such reports on our blog, but let’s be clear, we are concerned about the things which can lend a smell of the automotive even at least, or maybe sometime the transportation too. This time we got the piece of news that Valvoline Cummins Limited, one of the brands in automotive, had opened a manufacturing plant in Ambernath industrial area, near Mumbai. Apart from the automotive lubricants, this manufacturing facility will also cater products for industrial and heavy duty markets.
The new production facility had seen an investment of $30 million and is spread over an area of 10 acres, which will be able to produce outputs ranging between 120 million liters and150 million liters per year.
Commenting on the splashy new beginnings, Sandeep Kalia, CEO of Valvoline Cummins Limited said, “We are thrilled about the new facility opening and we are looking forward to our continued growth in the Indian market. The new plant will enable us to provide our customers with additional innovative solutions and products to improve business results. Through this project, Cummins and Valvoline are once again partnering to provide valuable solutions for our customers.”
In addition to this investment, the joint venture of Valvoline and Cummins had also opened Valvoline Lube Station, a new Valvoline lubricant training center at the Cummins Sales and Service Tech Center in Pune, which will give the on-site training to engineers and technicians regarding engine lubrication and maintenance.
