The Launch of Tata Nano Diesel is not as hopeful as anticipated. After a series of downfalls, the world’s cheapest car gave disappointing results on sales chart. It failed to deliver the expected 25,000 monthly sales, and recorded just 7,000 units.
With the above said factors put in place, vendors are no willing to lay their money on the diesel version of the Tata Nano. Consequently, the volume of the diesel car produced will go down, and the vendors are not willing to offer discount on low production units.
Tata is expecting to roll out 30,000 units of Tata Nano diesel annually, after its launch in March 2013. We just hope it sells better than the gasoline variant.
