A retro with a modern tint, Volkswagen unveiled the Beetle Classic edition in US for a price of $21,015 inclusive of $820 freight. The car is delved in coupe and convertible both, powered by a 1.8L TSI 4-cylinder engine of 170bhp/240 Nm mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Power is send to rear wheels delivering the mileage of 33mpg in hard top, 32mpg for soft-top.
Cosmetically, Beetle Classic edition mimics the old charm in its first sight with 17-inch “Heritage” wheels made out of aluminum, and rear spoiler. The exterior can be ordered in shade of white, black or silver.
Exclusivity is then continued inside cabin narrating its story with Sioux leatherette for upholstery, and checked cloth for seating space. Navigation planted on panel and steering mounted with controls complements it for a modern feel. Leather draped handbrake lever and shifter talks the tale of luxury, whereas the driver’s seat is taken care by side lumbar support.
