Volkswagen India seems to be taking reduced sales figure on a serious note. To arrest the reducing sales, Volkswagen is trying hard to get Indian heavyweights of the auto industry in the top management.
Mr. Arvind Saxena from Hyundai joined VW as MD.
Another guy who is planning to join VW is Avik Chattopadhyay, former top executive of MSIL. Avik will join VW as GM, Marketing and will replace German national Lutz Kothe. Other names which are sprouting from the news to join VW are Ashish Anand – Hyundai’s Regional Manager, Hardeep Brar-former MSIL Dealer Development Head and Pankaj Sharma-now on board as VW Sales Head.
VW entered the Indian market with high expectations, but is seeing disappointing sales figure. As of now, dipping sales on one hand and no new launches on the other hand will put ‘new’ top brass at its toughest.
Volkswagen has added new version of Volkswagen Cross Polo and Vento on its product list and has reduced the price of the products to increase sales. But we were expecting a drop in the price of spare and services instead of a drop in the price of the products. We hope the new guys will soon turn expectations into reality.
