It seems the upcoming Volkswagen Tharu SUV has been spied in China undergoing tests. Based on the Skoda Kodiaq, the Tharu would be sold internationally.
The car would first be launched in China and there it would be offered in two different turbocharged petrol engine options – a 116hp, 1.2-litre motor and a 150hp, 1.4-litre unit. Both engines will be paired to dual-clutch, seven-speed automatic transmissions.
As far as time of launch is concerned, the Tharu would be launched in China sometime during the third quarter of 2018.
