The 2017 Volvo V90 Cross Country is scheduled to be launched in India on July 12, 2017. The rugged version of the V90 estate has already been spotted in the country. This will be the third Volvo Cross Country model to go on sale in India, after the V40 Cross Country and the S60 Cross Country.
The V90 is essentially an estate version of the S90 sedan, while the Cross Country gets additional SUV-like design elements like an increased ground clearance, black plastic cladding over the wheel arches, prominent roof rails and skid plates on the front and rear bumpers. It also comes with an all-wheel drive system and enhanced approach and departure angles.
The V90 Cross Country will be powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that develops 232 BHP and 480 Nm of torque, while being mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It will also come with 4 driving modes – Eco, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road.
