W Motors Lykan HyperSport made its initial debut at 2013 Qatar Motor Show and then finally moved to various location like Bahrain, Lebanon, Kuwait, also in Europe, Belgium, Switzerland , Italy , Monaco, and then finally landing at Dubai at a recent venue of 2013 Dubai Motor show. Hope so, it made enough of the attempt to drive hearts of supercar buyers worldwide, and reportedly it also received massive responses from China, US and Russia.
Hence, now the Lebanon based carmaker has turned to launch the powerful sibling of said called “SuperSport” soon somewhere in the near future, but it has revealed the car in galore images for us to relish upon. Though, the technicalities are still under cover, but we are quite delighted that the first supercar maker of Arab land absorbed the response so dutifully in no time.
SuperSport looks quite different than its sibling and poses an aggressive front fascia, with the incredible air dams on front and Lamborghini resembling LED lights. Erstwhile, the car is said ‘not’ to house the diamond and crystal on the headlamps like the HyperSport, and not even those gold-stitched seats on inside.
Reported to The National, W Motors CEO, Ralph Debbas, said, “HyperSport is an incredible car to drive, but the SuperSport – coming next year – will be an even better performance car.”
Altogether the SuperSport is learnt to be delivered to its ‘assorted’ owners in 2015, and will be limited only to “25 units”.
Commemorating about the future plans, Mr. Debbas added, “We have a lot of things in development too: hybrid systems, KERs systems. We’re using the Lykan as a base and seeing how we can develop it to the extreme.”
As said above, none is known about the technical specifications, but some minute revelations about it by Mr. Debbas conveyed, “It’s mainly about power and performance, so it’s going to be above ‘1000hp’. It’s going to be a very light car, under ‘1200kg’; it’s an incredible car. It’s under development at the moment, and we hope to have something to show, maybe not this advanced, this time next year.”
That’s all for the sake, Lykan Hypersport mounts a mid-rear mounted 3.7-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine of 750 HP (559 kW) and 960 Nm (708 lb-ft) of torque, which accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, hitting a top speed of 385 km/h (239 mph) at zest.
W Motors priced Lykan HyperSport for $3.4 million, along with the ‘Cyrus Klepcys Special Edition Watch’ worth more than 200,000 USD and diamond studded headlamps as well gold stitched seats, but the expectations for SuperSport is aimed to exceed $3.4 (€2.5 / £2.1) million and that too without the exclusive gold and diamond fittings. Not for the disappointment, more than ‘1000 horsepower’ is going to set the faces smiling! What say?
