World's Cheapest Electric Car Ora R1 Will Be At Auto Expo 2020

After Morris Garages, Chinese Automaker Haima Automobiles confirmed that they will be entering the Indian Market and recently another chinese automaker Great Wall Motors Company Ltd also announced their presence at the Auto Expo 2020.

Now, there is a possibility that the Chinese carmaker will also be bringing in electric models from its Ora and Wey sub-brands. A few of these models will be showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. World’s cheapest electric car Ora R1 is likely to be featured in India at Auto Expo 2020 in February.

 The Indian automobile industry is making a shift from internal combustion engine (ICE) to electric vehicles. The Great Wall Motors, the China’s largest SUV maker, has got its Indian show stoppers with Haval and Ora versions of cars. The Great Wall Motors will showcase both of its brands at the upcoming Auto Expo 2020.

Ora R1 electric provides a maximum mileage of 351 km through its 35 kilowatt motor on a single charge. Great Wall Motors sells three EVs under ORA brand R1, R2 and iQ.Ora R1 will also come equipped with artificial intelligence features along with connectivity features.The top speed of the car will be around 100 kmph.The expected price of the car in India will be between Rs. 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh.

Ora R1’s rivals in the Indian market would be Hyundai Kona, Tata Nexon EV, MG ZS EV and Renault’s Zoe.
